Creedence Clearwater Review: The Green River Tour 2024 - The Green River Tour 2024
The CCR tribute tornado from Great Britain
The soundtrack of the early 1970s is brought back to the stage by Creedence Clearwater Review during their performances. The quartet is the best British tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of America's greatest bands, which left a lasting legacy of classic songs. Like a tornado, the tribute quartet sweeps through its over two-hour program. The distinctive musical style of their predecessors was a unique mix of roots, swamp, blues, and sometimes country-infused rock 'n' roll. The biggest hits from Creedence, "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Fortunate Son," and "Who'll Stop The Rain," as well as "Hey Tonight," are part of the nearly two-hour live show, along with versions of classics like "I Heard It Through The Grapevine," "Midnight Special," and "Susie Q."
The band from the island captures the feeling, sound, and atmosphere of the original songs. The audience is involved in the concert, singing along, and there are many catchy choruses to join in on during the authentic and energetic tribute to Creedence's legacy. Dale Taylor takes on the role of John Fogerty on guitar and vocals, which is no easy task considering Fogerty's power and range. However, he fulfills this role brilliantly, delivering the rawness and energy of the original, supported by a solid and experienced band that sticks as closely as possible to the original album titles.
