Since 1997, the band by Wolfgang Becker and Christoph Keiser, which has been nominated multiple times for the German Record Critics' Award and the German Blues Award, has been producing CDs almost non-stop, some of which have even been included in the German Literature Archive in Marbach. Thematically, they deal with texts by Andreas Gryphius, which are shaped by much hope and unwavering faith in God despite all the suffering of his time during the Thirty Years' War. From those of the Romantic poet Joseph von Eichendorff, who expressed the longing for distance, for the rustling of the forests, to the expressionist Georg Heym, who, against the backdrop of the rampant and overstretched Berlin at the end of the 19th century, according to Marcel Reich-Ranicki, "has significantly shaped the idea of German Expressionism." But baroque texts influenced by Paul Fleming's travels through the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea also find their place in Schwarzbrenner's program. A special delight for literature and blues lovers alike.
