3. Abonnementkonzert - 70 Jahre Detmolder Kammerorchester
The Detmolder Kammerorchester is celebrating its 70th anniversary. However, it has not aged. Quite the opposite. Based on a tradition that has grown over the decades and is always future-oriented, the ensemble captivates with infectious musical joy and a shared spirit, which is also reflected in the season motto: Connectedness. This includes not only the connection amongst themselves but also artists from near and far as well as institutions and the people of the region to whom the musicians feel a friendly bond.
Such as the percussionists of the HfM Detmold and "HfM Percussion" under the direction of timpanist Georgios Zerdalis. The former first timpanist of the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra studied at the Orchesterzentrum NRW, at the College of Music in London, and at the Ionian University in Corfu (Greece).
Flutist Stathis Karapanos is also a native Greek and graduated with honors from the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe in 2018. He relinquished his position as the First Solo Flutist of the Athens State Orchestra in 2018 to continue his studies with Philippe Bernold at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris. Since then, he has appeared as a soloist with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, and Valery Gergiev. In October 2023, he made his debut at the Vienna Musikverein.
