Kulinarische Tafel im Friedgarten
An action day as part of the celebrations for "750 Years of the Monastery"
The Dominican Monastery Prenzlau will serve a variety of salads as a starter, along with bread and herb cream cheese, in collaboration with Inselcatering from Schenkenberg on June 21, 2025, at 6 PM at a set table in the Friedgarten, the courtyard of the facility. The main course will feature a ragout of Uckermark beef, fried fillet of zander, various vegetable side dishes, and a vegan dish with risotto fritters. Dessert, red fruit compote or crème brûlée, will be served in the monastery garden around 9 PM, where the evening will wind down with a romantic lighting atmosphere.
During the starter and main course, red and white wine, as well as water, will be available at no extra charge. Coffee or herbal liqueur will be offered with dessert (included in the ticket price).
The meal will be musically accompanied by two groups: Lamiks Tura and False Relation.
Lamiks Tura, consisting of Hans Flake, Hanna Weissgerber, and Kay Doedens, plays songs across various instruments that cater to the world music genre. They present texts with frivolous and crude themes on double bass, accordion, and more.
False Relations include Jessica Thomas (Baroque violin and viola), Michael Taylor (Countertenor), Jack Adler-McKean (Serpent), and Agnieszka Skorupa (Harpsichord). Together, they form an early music ensemble from Berlin that specializes in performing music from the early Baroque period. They are winners of the II Competition for Early Music Ensembles at the University of the Arts Berlin in collaboration with the Culture Festival Association in the State of Brandenburg, and they will enchant the audience with the program "All the pleasures, all the pains" - love songs from England and Italy.
At the end of the event, Olena Weiss will present her performance in the monastery garden.
The day, declared annually on the third Saturday in June by the European Route of Brick Gothic, has been drawing attention to the cultural heritage of brick Gothic architecture since 2018.
Ticket price: €65.00 (including 3-course menu, beverages as specified in the program) Additional beverages are not included in the ticket price and can be purchased on-site.
