Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel - Der Originalfilm mit Live-Orchester
We are very pleased to present "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel - Der Originalfilm mit Liveorchester" again after the great success in December 2024!
Who doesn't know the theme song of the Christmas classic "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel"? For over 50 years, the fairy tale heroine has been dreamily riding her white horse Nikolaus through snowy landscapes, enchanting generations of viewers. Aschenbrödel takes her fate into her own hands, fights for great happiness, and clearly shows the prince the way right from their first encounter in the woods.
Stubborn and with her heart in the right place – this is what defines the film to this day. Since its premiere in 1973, this light-hearted fairy tale film, with its snowy backdrop and wintery romantic atmosphere, has become an indispensable part of the Christmas program. This cinematic Christmas wonder is thanks to curious circumstances: the original script called for Aschenbrödel to run over "blooming meadows"; however, because the film studios of the Czech-German co-production were already booked for the summer, director Václav Vorlícek swiftly moved the story to winter.
Once again, the beautiful Aschenbrödel and her prince can look forward to a very special stage: for several years now, "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" has regularly been filling concert halls in German-speaking countries during the Christmas season, transforming their stages into the setting of the enchanting love story. While the fairy tale film runs on a large screen, the film soundtrack by Karel Svoboda is performed live by a large symphony orchestra, synchronized scene by scene with the romantic and humorous adventures.
Shortly after the Aschenbrödel soundtrack, Svoboda received his first commissions from the West, producing his theme songs for animated films such as "The Bee Maya," "Wickie," or "Nils Holgersson." But only that enchanting melody, to which the princess chases through the snow on her horse, can evoke such blissful feelings of happiness in the audience.
