Both as the frontman of his legendary cult band "Smokie" and as a solo musician, "Chris Norman" has achieved just about everything a musician could dream of: 21 hit singles, including numerous number-one hits, 22 albums, and well over 20 million records sold encompass his illustrious career so far. His solo single "Midnight Lady" made a huge impact, became a massive hit all over Europe, and stayed at number 1 on the official German charts for six weeks. With numerous other unforgettable evergreens that are still sung and celebrated all over the world today, the singer and guitarist from England carved out a special place in the hearts of his fans.
In 1980, "Münchener Freiheit" was founded in the Bavarian capital, destined to write a piece of German and international music history and deliver some of the biggest earworms in the German-speaking world. In the wake of the German music revolution - better known under the acronym NDW and named after the eponymous café in Munich-Schwabing - singer and keyboardist Stefan Zauner and guitarist Aron Strobel took a big step into the music business. In 1983, Michael Kunzi (bass and vocals), Alexander Grünwald (keyboard), and Renard Henry Hatzke (drums) joined as additional permanent members. Stefan Zauner left the group in 2011. Tim Wilhelm then took on the role as singer and is still the frontman of the band to this day.
Throughout their years of career, both "Chris Norman" and "Münchener Freiheit" have remained true to their trademarks: mega hits with catchy melodies and rocking beats, held together by distinctive memorable voices. An exciting, one-of-a-kind concert evening filled with fun and a string of top hits awaits fans in Franken.
