Angela Ascher - "Verdammt, ich lieb‘ mich"
That between self-love and narcissism there are worlds apart, and that self-love has many different faces, is well known. Angela Ascher discusses the role that time, money, friendships, humor, empathy, emancipation, love, honesty, etc. play in her first stage program "Damn, I love myself" with brutal honesty with herself and her audience.
In "Damn, I love myself," the true Bavarian showcases her comedic talent and her love for the stage in expressive and passionate stand-up sequences, convincingly charming with comedy in all its facets: stereotypes are played, broken, exaggerated, finely observed, and dissected with humor. Confidently and with plenty of irony, Angela categorizes topics in her very unique way, unafraid to hit hard from time to time. Because an Angela Ascher does not mince words, even when tackling quite spicy topics like sex toys in the wrong hands, mental freshness techniques for very long-lasting relationships, glorifying one's sex life in front of friends, and the question of whether one should just sleep with themselves so they never lower their standards.
"Damn, I love myself" is a top-notch comedy program with explosive punchlines and loving sarcasm.
