ISAAK - enjoy that life´s a tour
With his captivating performance at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, Isaak has proven to a global audience of billions that he can effortlessly play in the top league of the most exciting new faces in European pop music. Now, the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist returns with his brand new single, showcasing the 29-year-old more emotionally and compellingly than ever before! Even at a young age, Isaak learned to captivate people with his songs and draw them into his world. After the self-taught musician taught himself to play guitar, piano, ukulele, and drums, he gained his first experience as a street musician at just 12 years old. This was an educational time during which not only his instantly recognizable goosebump-inducing voice developed, but also his captivating stage presence – as Isaak recently demonstrated again in Malmö, Sweden, during his celebrated ESC performance with his introspective final qualification anthem "Always On The Run," which saw its Spotify streaming numbers multiply to nearly 13 million after his global power performance. Currently, the father of two excites over 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, more than 50.6k Instagram followers, and nearly 34.5k followers on TikTok. After impressing with his David Puentez collaboration "Baby Steps" (which immediately stormed to 1st place in the iTunes charts), the over 1.7 million streamed "Home," the 572k streamed "Water To The Seed," and the passionate cover of "Who Knew," which even rocked star P!nk praised, calling Isaak "better than Ed Sheeran," the singer and musician is now sending out his next single. In "Never The Same," his instantly penetrating vocals combine with a powerful chorus to create an emotional ballad where Isaak once again provides a deep insight into his torn emotional life. The song was created during a writing camp in Mallorca, where Isaak met musician Joris. They had been living in the same village (Vlotho, NRW) at the time, and it was long overdue for them to write a song together. Isaak about the collaboration: "Joris picked up the guitar at the beginning and freestyled a chord progression in one take. We didn't cut the guitar in the end and left it exactly as it was in the song." Isaak's new single "Never The Same" speaks in poignant words about change, development, personal growth, and about no longer being the same. A song about the heart-wrenching realization of drifting apart while still somehow holding on to each other and clinging to old memories. And ultimately also about farewell and the acceptance that some things are simply not meant to last forever; no matter how much one wishes it. With "Never The Same," Isaak presents another emotional heavy-weight earworm full of vulnerability, but also strength, with a glimpse of a tiny light at the end of the tunnel.
