HÖHNER 11+11
"Princess", "It's not what you think", "Au Revoir": The Höhner continue to write their amazing musical success story with great hits. With the album "11+11", the musicians have recorded eleven brand new tracks in 2024 and shown that the Höhner are more current than ever. Additionally, they have taken eleven timeless milestones from the band's history, re-recorded them in a modern style, and brought them into the musical present. Because even today, the Höhner, just like the city of the cathedral they sing about, are still "e Jeföhl"! Everyone can get excited about the new live tour "11+11".
For decades celebrated for their unbridled sound, for a set to music "Jeföhl" that is understood everywhere despite the Kölsch dialect, for their excursions into other cultural contexts – from their own Rock-and-Roll Circus Show to Wacken – the Höhner are now opening the next chapter live. "Now we want to show where the Höhner currently stand and above all: how they sound," announces singer Patrick Lück.
Of course, the frontman knows very well what a gift the stylistic freedom is that one has with the Höhner: One moment a singer, then "in the circus sometimes more of an artist or clown", they move musically seamlessly between rock, pop, party sound, Schlager, and folk. "Through this flexibility we have, we can surprise the fans time and again without straying too far from our tradition." No wonder that "11+11" sounds extremely varied and, therefore, absolutely coherent – and above all 100% authentic.
The joy of playing, the sound, and the unique energy of this band have always been fed by new additions and transfers: Since the third singer Henning Krautmacher handed over the baton to Patrick Lück in 2021, the current six-member lineup also includes Micki Schläger (keyboards, vocals), Jens Streifling (guitar, saxophone, mandolin), Heiko Braun (drums), Freddi Lubitz (bass, vocals), and Edin Čolić aka Meister Ede (lead guitar). Together, they continue the story of the institution founded in 1972 as "Ne Höhnerhoff", whose "Viva Colonia" was even covered by Metallica a few years ago.
