“It happens in the depths of the Harz many centuries ago… and now!”
This is the motto of the bestseller series "Im Schatten der Hexen" by Kathrin R. Hotowetz.
Incredibly gripping, with dense atmosphere, her captivating thrillers whisk readers into a world between deep Harz prehistory and dark present: Whether in the mystical landscape of the Harz, with its often still unexplored early cultures, mystical cult sites, its deep cave labyrinths, historical monasteries, and castles on one hand, and a murderous present on the other.
“Verlorene Wasser,” the new novel from the "Im Schatten der Hexen" world by Kathrin R. Hotowetz, takes place about a year after the events of the book "Das Geheimnis des Drachentempels" (Volume 8), but is also suitable for readers who are not familiar with the previous bestsellers in the series. The exciting visuals for this mystery thriller come from the renowned Wernigerode artist Melanie Kuna-Drechsler.
> The apparent accidental death of a young diver in the Bauerngraben turns out to be part of a mysterious double murder. Volkmar Sauerzweig, who is still new to the homicide department, doubts his ability to handle it all and turns to his new friends and colleagues Moritz Sattler and Kalle Rogge. Are all these strange events at Harz waters, such as the Rhume fountain or the Osterteich, just coincidences, or do old mystical secrets make their way to the surface here?
Once again, Gerda Hoffmann is sought after for her special knowledge of Harz legends. All involved hope that she can shed light on the darkness of the ancient mysterious Harz waters.
