Over 20 years of virtuosity, humor, and international success: For about two decades, Salut Salon has mastered captivating audiences like few other classical music ensembles – irresistibly, from the very first note. With virtuosic playfulness, sparkling humor, artistic instrumental acrobatics, and enchanting charm, the four exceptional talents transport entire concert halls into their own world, into surprising, unfamiliar, and enchanting realms of music. Because anything that can be associated with the classical music they so love: the four musicians connect it!
Two violins, a cello, a piano, and an abundance of creative energy: Salut Salon is "Hamburg's most charming cultural export" (Hamburger Abendblatt). The four virtuosos perform their "Masterpieces of 'classical' comedy" (The New York Times) in the world's most prestigious concert halls, delighting their audience with hilarious rides between Vivaldi and vocal acrobatics, Tango and crime scenes, Rap and Rachmaninoff. Wonderful!" (The Economic Times India)
With their new program "Heimat," Salut Salon will celebrate the conclusion of a concert trilogy starting in 2025: after "Love" and "Dreams," the next major, almost all-encompassing theme. A word that rolls off the tongue quite naturally. However, it immediately raises the question: What exactly is it? Is home a place? Tradition? A feeling? Are they the people surrounding you? Or perhaps words, languages, sounds? In any case, home is a very moving topic.
During their travels, the quartet has collected pieces of various colors with open ears and a keen sense. And now they bring them to the stage unmistakably in the Salut Salon style: works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, or Copeland, songs from Finland, France, China, and Egypt, unknown, famous, original compositions, and, of course, as in every one of their programs: Tango Nuevo by Astor Piazzolla. Pieces in which the question about the miraculous essence of this word always resonates in various ways: Heimat ... what is that? And with dreamlike naturalness, they also provide their very own answer: Salut Salon finds their home in the world – and their home is music.
