What is life? Coincidence? A joke, or just a business? This is the question addressed in Rebers' current program.
In recent years, we have come to know him in a variety of roles. Whether as the caretaker of the Lord and God's block warden, as an exorcist, a people's commissar for vengeance and retribution, or as the popular inventor of batten pedagogy.
For him, the stage is a battlefield in the fight against surveillance capitalism, digital dictatorship, and an apparently unstoppable spread of dumbing down the online rabble. Rebers is a man of extremes, thus not dissimilar to a Diego Maradona. A man who gives his all and for whom every guest performance is a finale.
Rebers works analog and can best be compared to a loose cannon. Always loaded and no one knows who it will hit. Yet he always ensures that our cheerfulness doesn’t completely disappear. The "humor location" Germany is not doing well. Wherever you look, plagues, zeal for upbringing, and irrationality are rampant. Everything somehow goes viral and increasingly, it smells like those old German virtues that one thought we had long left behind. But how could it be otherwise? The Germans of today are no better than the Germans of back then. Back then was just a different time, and so the question arises:
“What is the opposite of the future?”
“Heritage!!”
Sounds difficult, but it's very easy. Because Rebers is a man with mother wit, a lot of music, overflowing creativity, and a palpable love for the human. Patterns were never his thing, and if one wants to know what this program is really about, the answer is, about everything!!! More precisely, about everything that one cannot march to.
And so, he pounds the drum, hits the keys, or lashes out around him, and sometimes he even thinks about running away. But that will be discussed in the next and final program. This time it's all about business!!
