Stephan Bauer - Vor der Ehe wollt´ ich ewig leben
Everyone knows it: the weariness in a relationship. When after ten years you look cluelessly into your partner's face and realize: "Before marriage, I wanted to live forever." Almost everyone once had dreams of a happy and fulfilling existence. And what is left of it? At 25, you marry the person who drives you crazy, and by 50 you realize: he succeeded. But despite high divorce rates, has marriage really become outdated? Are the single life, evening companions, and cheating websites a viable alternative? Can the old institution of marriage not be modernized? For men today, for example, it is not important that a woman can cook, but that she doesn't know a good lawyer. The man already knows: whoever is on top has to do the dishes. What matters today is that the relationship is balanced: one is right, the other is the husband. Marriage has its good sides too. You come home and always have the same person to reject you. A marriage doesn't have to be boring either. You can take out life insurance policies on each other, then the exciting suspense is who wins. A few rules just need to be followed. The most important one is: loyalty. Many people can't do that. Why not? It works for animals. Penguins are faithful for a lifetime - but they all look the same after all. Stephan Bauer leads by example, has (once again) taken the plunge before the altar, true to the motto: "Marriage is folly of reason". Why not? "We've been together for 5 years, argue a lot, have little sex - then we might as well make it official." Stephan Bauer's new program is, as always, packed with punchlines and mega fun, but also an open reckoning with the single society, eroding values, and the feeling of "anything goes".
