Heidi (ab 4) - Theater Fritz und Freunde
Play based on the books by Johanna Spyri
Director: Detlef Winterberg
Stage design: Dorothea Dudek
Heidi is one of the best-known children's books in world literature, and in this country, Heidi became famous not least through the eponymous anime series in the 1970s. Theater Fritz und Freunde was inspired by the two Heidi novels and staged its own theatrical version with lots of imagination, music, heart, and three actors: Janina Maria Schmaus, Annalena Lipp, and Fritz Weinert - the theater director of the ensemble. The five-year-old orphan girl Heidi is brought to her eccentric grandfather Almöhi by her aunt Dete. Since she can no longer take care of the child, Heidi is supposed to stay with him in the lonely hut in the Swiss mountains. Initially not thrilled, Almöhi quickly grows fond of Heidi with her cheerful and lively nature. In addition, Heidi befriends Peter the goatherd and his goats, and they all spend many happy days together. After more than a year, Aunt Dete suddenly appears and takes Heidi to Frankfurt, where she is to accompany Klara, the paralyzed daughter of a wealthy merchant. Heidi and Klara become friends, but the strict governess Miss Rottenmeier has no understanding for Heidi at all. Heidi becomes increasingly homesick for the mountains and her grandfather. She becomes so ill that the family doctor knows only one prescription: Heidi must go back to her grandfather. Heidi is overjoyed about this, but Klara is beside herself. But then a miracle happens...!
The latest staging of the children's book classic Heidi promises great fun for the whole family. The three-member team succeeds in striking not only turbulent, funny scenes but also serious tones that touch the audience without becoming overly sentimental. Annalena Lipp plays the lively Heidi in a child-friendly manner without falling into clichés. Janina Maria Schmaus is convincing in her very different roles as Peter the goatherd and Klara. Fritz Weinert portrays Almöhi and also Fräulein Rottenmeier with unrestrained enthusiasm.
