Frank Fischer: Meschugge
The cabaret artist Frank Fischer will be performing on Saturday, January 25, at 8 PM at the Young Theater Forchheim.
me|schug|ge (Hebrew-Yiddish) colloquially means crazy. At least that's what it says in the Duden. If you are wondering who or what is crazy – here's a little tip: Turn on the news. Or take a train, walk through the pedestrian zone, visit the supermarket, or sit in a café. Because whether it’s Trump, Putin, or the woman in front of you at the checkout – you constantly get the impression of being surrounded by people for whom not everything is quite right in their heads. Frank Fischer has observed them all. During his travels across the republic, he engages in conversations with difficult-to-understand Saxons, Hessian Nazis, and a Swabian women's travel group. He reports on unusual people, crazy situations, and shares valuable tips on how to make, for instance, a train journey an unforgettable experience for yourself and others.
In the end, the only question left is: If so many people around us are crazy, are we the only normal ones? Or are we perhaps, in the end, a little meschugge ourselves?
