Finally, they are back: After their acclaimed Christmas concert in 2022, the seven accomplished singers of Naturally 7 return to the Rhine. This time, they present music from the big soundtracks of the world of cinema. The "N7@TheMovies" program is brimming with songs that provoke tears, laughter, deep breaths, and wonder. The a cappella band from New York, led by the two brothers Roger and Warren Thomas, possesses vocal talents that make every instrument pale in comparison. What comes so effortlessly from the lips of these seven Americans, they themselves call "Vocal Play." The "band without a band" vocally mimics nearly every instrument. They make basses rumble, trombones sound, and guitars wail – without a single instrument. In addition to their musical abilities, the vocal artists are also great entertainers with unbelievable stage presence. Their repertoire spans everything from soul, R'n'B, rap, jazz, or hip hop to original compositions in the finest a cappella style. POLE-POSITION. The "Polish Project Day for Schools in NRW" is the result of a joint initiative between the Polish Institute in Düsseldorf and the Ministry of School and Further Education of NRW in the spring of 2005. Due to its consistent regularity and its appeal to all types of schools, this educational project has achieved exceptional status.

The full-day event, now held frequently several times a month and free of charge for schools, is aimed at students from the secondary level II who are preparing for exchange visits with Polish schools or classes, or who want to learn more about Poland. The project units include: Crash course on Polish-German history; Workshops on cultural similarities and differences between Poland and Germany; Young scene in Poland; Poland on the internet; Polish literature; Polish language taster course; Polish geography; Politics: Poland-Germany-EU, providing students from secondary schools with an attractively designed, modern, and comprehensive perspective on their neighbors.

The exhibition by Krzysztof Franaszek (PL) and Gereon Krebber (DE) is dedicated to the themes of mutations of forms and the process of determining meaning. Through melting, bending, squeezing, and dripping, Franaszek and Krebber transform original motifs as well as objects, blurring the boundaries between the artificial (often urban) world and nature. The artists not only dissolve clear sculptural forms, but also play with the readability and conventional meanings of things. All these ambiguities converge at the Galerie des Polnischen Instituts in Düsseldorf, forming a constellation of shifting formal separations, ambivalent meanings, and fluid geopolitical boundaries.

With wit and quick thinking, Linda Weißenberg throws herself into the adversities of her unwanted single life when she finds a body while cleaning a job in the Deutzer Bridge. She promptly falls under the suspicion of Cologne detective Raimund Golt, who, for several reasons, does not let her out of his sight and soon suspects her of murder. For Patricia is a tribute to one of the pioneers of postmodern dance: Trisha Brown. Just as Trisha Brown explored new choreographic structures like accumulation, repetition, or inversion, Sarah Fdili Alaoui & John Sullivan explore new choreographic and compositional structures generated by AI. Each performance creates a new piece in which dancers and musicians perform a new score guided by the AI. The piece is a quartet between two dancers, Sarah Fdili Alaoui and Bartosz Ostrowski, and two musicians, John Sullivan (piano and electronics) and Léo Chédin (drums and electronics).

Sarah Fdili Alaoui is a researcher, choreographer, and dancer. She is an associate professor at the University of Paris-Saclay in areas of human-computer interaction, interaction design, dance, and technologies. John Sullivan is an interaction designer, researcher, and musician. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Paris-Saclay, where his research focuses on multimodal interaction design and the development of new technologies for music, dance, and multimedia performance.

Duration: approx. 60 mins.

Sivan Ben Yishai's piece is a radical, harsh, and at the same time humorous self-experiment about love. About how every woman (and man) changes within it. Nominated for the Mülheim Theater Prize 2020.
Comic hero Popeye, the muscle-bound sailor, must constantly fight against all sorts of adversaries. Mostly to rescue his long-time friend Olive Oyl from the highest danger. In "Love," everything is different: author Sivan Ben Yishai turns sidekick Olive into the protagonist, and the two comic characters become prototypes for heterosexual couple relationships today. Intimate matters are publicly addressed because social power relations are inscribed in the stories of the body. As a keen observer of her own love life, Olive dissects the ambivalence between female self-determination and losing oneself in old relationship patterns - only to reinvent herself in the end with archaic fury.

With virtuoso melodic passages, fantastic glissandos, and dramatic percussion, well-known works are reimagined in a new light. And now, Klaus the violinist and Marius Peters kick it up a notch: only with violin and guitar, they set free the soul of the pieces with their improvisations. With compelling joy of playing and rhythmic finesse, they expand Mozart's works with elements of modern classical and jazz music. Each concert is unique. Klaus's well-known and current political songs are, of course, also included.

One of Germany's most famous street musicians - Klaus von Wrochem -, honored long ago for his life's work, meets an aspiring musician from the Cologne music scene - Marius Peters - who has received numerous awards. A violin veteran and a young Bachelor of Music from the University of Music and Dance Cologne have come together.
