Finally! The "Jungle King of Hearts" back on tour!
THE VOLGA SONG - Peter Orloff & the Schwarzmeer Kosaken are coming
Finally, the time has come again! After the most successful year in its history, the longest concert break in its history followed the final concert on March 8 of this year. But now, it's finally time for the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor and its audience to continue! And in close collaboration with local authorities and the event organizer's Corona officer, it will also be a carefree concert experience. Medicine for the soul and a feast for the ears!
An absolute highlight is the festive concert of the famous Schwarzmeer Kosaken Choir under the musical direction and personal participation of Peter Orloff, who once, together with Ivan Rebroff, founded his legendary career in the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Choir as the youngest singer of all Cossack choirs in the world. He is now celebrating his 60th anniversary on stage.
From the little boy with the already remarkable voice emerged the hit legend Peter Orloff, the "King of the Charts" with 19 chart positions of his own and numerous Gold Records - as a singer for "Ein Mädchen für immer" and the "Queen of the Night," as a lyricist for Bernd Clüver's "Junge mit der Mundharmonika," and as a composer for "Du," Peter Maffay's biggest hit to date, which is now also sung by Helene Fischer, as well as Andrea Berg and the Amigos, who sing the million-hit "Der kleine Prinz" composed and written by Peter Orloff. In addition to Peter Maffay and Bernd Clüver, he has also produced Heino, Freddy Quinn, and Julio Iglesias, among others. In the history of the ZDF Hit Parade, he has the second-best rate of re-entry of all time after Chris Roberts. All of Germany was thrilled when Peter Orloff made it to the finale of the jungle camp in 2019 and became the Jungle Prince and audience favorite. His fearless balancing act at dizzying heights and his loving interaction with snakes and crocodiles remain unforgettable. The press titled him as "Better than Crocodile Dundee" and "Chuck Norris of the jungle," with Germany's largest daily newspaper calling him the "Jungle King of Hearts." Upon his return, his top hit from 1971, "Ein Mädchen für immer," in the 2019 version, was already at number 7 in the German iTunes Schlager charts. He donates a school for indigenous children in Argentina from his fee - his second school for the "Fly & Help" foundation, of which he is a member of the board and ambassador. Thanks to "RTL - Wir helfen Kindern," there are now already five schools!
On June 19, 2019, his CD "Teure Heimat" with the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor stormed to number 2 in the official German sales charts/volkstümliche Musik, following Santiano and preceding Andreas Gabalier - 52 years after his first top placement in the sales charts, also at number 2, then behind Peter Alexander and ahead of the Beatles! In the year-end evaluation, the album is among the TOP 20! On December 4, he even made it to the absolute top class, the Top 100 Album Charts, multiple times in 2019 and 2020. He is the most googled man of the year! And the oldest "Ninja Warrior" participant of all time worldwide! On January 12, 2020, he received two coveted SMAGO Awards, the German "Schlager Oscar," one for the "Schlager Titan" and one for the Charts Stormer and "Jungle King of Hearts." At 75, Peter Orloff is once again at a peak in his career. One of his personal favorite songs is also his life motto: "Forever Young"!
Impressive press reviews from then until now document the exceptional position that Peter Orloff, descended from a famous Russian noble family, holds as a soloist in his ensemble. Enthusiastic television appearances before a million-strong audience and numerous Gold Records and CDs underscore the reputation of the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Choir as an outstanding Cossack ensemble of our time. Audiences can look forward to an equally fascinating and moving concert experience, which the press celebrates as "Orloff's Miracle Choir" with voices as beautiful and grand as Russia.
Under the leadership of Peter Orloff, highly decorated Ukrainian and Russian singers of absolute world-class perform in warm harmony - breathtaking tenors, deep basses, and as a special highlight, an absolute rarity, a male soprano from the Kiev Opera. Vocal wonders or wonderful voices - both are true! The ensemble also includes three of the world's best Russian instrumental virtuosos. They accompanied Ivan Rebroff until his passing and are now essentially his musical legacy to his former companion and friend Peter Orloff. Thanks to its almost unique lineup, the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor is capable of presenting a truly extraordinary program with works like the "Prisoner's Chorus," "Swan Lake," "Leise flehen meine Lieder," or the showcase solo of all great tenors, "Nessun dorma."
Of course, the centerpiece of the concert is the most beautiful treasures from the rich repertoire of Russian and Ukrainian music literature, such as the famous "Evening Bells," "The Twelve Robbers," "I Pray to the Power of Love," "Stenka Rasin," "The Lonely Little Bell," "Kalinka," and by popular demand, "The Volga Song."
It is a musical journey from Moscow to Lake Baikal, from Kiev to St. Petersburg, with romances, stories, and ballads of overwhelming expressiveness, deep melancholy, and overflowing temperament. Heroic deeds, glory, and greatness of past days shine anew in bright splendor, stirring up memories and longings - a true fireworks display of emotions.
Peter Orloff promises the audience an unforgettable concert evening today. Or as comments from viewers say, a "Concert with goosebump guarantee" and a "musical force of nature."
There are many Cossack choirs - but only one Schwarzmeer Kosaken-Chor!
THE VOLGA SONG - Totally emotional!
