Once a week, guided tours through the Bad Bevensen city center are offered every Saturday at 2:00 pm. All interested participants are accompanied by dedicated city guides who have a lot of interesting facts to share about the history of Bad Bevensen.

The meeting point for these tours is right in front of the Kurhaus. After some explanations about Bad Bevensen's recent history, namely that of the spa town, the tour goes through the spa park into the old town. Passing by the Three Kings Church, where Bad Bevensen's cradle once stood, the path continues through the small and large streets, which are largely free from car traffic. With history and stories about the city, its citizens, and the surrounding area, the city guides bring their listeners closer to "their" Bad Bevensen. Many things that were previously passed by carelessly suddenly appear in a new light and are viewed with fresh eyes.

The city tour offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of the holiday or spa town and the most important historical buildings while strolling through Bad Bevensen.

With stand-up paddling, you can stay fit well into old age and leisurely enjoy nature on the Ilmenau river.
We will show you the correct technique and basics for a secure stance on the SUP board. The course is specially designed for beginners or those who want to get back into the sport after a break.
Our stand-up paddling beginner course 50+ is aimed at older individuals who would like to try out a great new sport in a small group with peers. Those who sometimes find it too fast-paced among the youngsters are in the right place in this course. We will comfortably introduce stand-up paddling step by step.
Simple and effective movements will take us forward - initially on land, on our knees, and later on standing up!

Everything needed for the course is provided and is already included in the course fee (SUP, paddle, optional life vest). The only requirements are a towel and possibly spare clothing.

As in the last year, the Jahrmarkttheater turns its blue wagon into a spaceship and celebrates the foreign with “Songs for Aliens”! The open-air show humorously and musically tells the story of the longing for belonging and the joy of being different. Five actors play 74 aliens and more than a dozen instruments.
The songs speak of the beauty of the Milky Way, the desire to be on the road, and everything that connects all people despite their differences. Whether human or alien, whether foreign or familiar, whether locals or newcomers.

“Songs for Aliens” is a wonderfully quirky, poetic, and very musical open-air theater adventure! The Jahrmarkttheater is very much looking forward to being hosted with its spaceship in 8 beautiful village squares, meadows, and even in a swimming pool!

With our new workshop offering on Saturdays in Bad Bevensen, you get the chance to consciously take care of yourself and your health from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Qi Gong is a part of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). This is where the term life care originates. It has relaxing and harmonizing effects and helps to achieve more serenity, concentration, inner calm, and better mobility. Through stress regulation, you can support your immune system, strengthening the self-healing powers.

We will practice selected exercises from the 18 movements of Tai Chi Qi Gong together; calmness and relaxation alternate, flowing movements connect with breathing, and mindfulness is trained.
In the group, we practice with fun and free from perfectionism! Our carousel of thoughts can gradually come to rest.
Depending on the weather, we will practice in the spa house or in the spa park. Please bring comfortable clothing, warm, non-slip socks or comfortable shoes, and something to drink.

Historic half-timbered houses, market streets, Twieten and chapels characterize the medieval face of the Hanseatic city of Uelzen and invite you to discover historically significant details. A completely different sight awaits at the fairy-tale-like train station, redesigned according to plans by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, which uniquely combines art, ecology, and modernity. Colorful columns and golden spheres attract attention on the outside, while imaginative mosaics in shimmering colors enchant visitors on the inside, creating a very special atmosphere that makes visiting this architectural masterpiece truly unique.

Stand-up paddling (short: SUP) is more than a trend sport on the water. In addition to physical & mental relaxation, it trains the entire body, especially the core and deep muscles, balance, mobility, and motor skills.

The course is perfect for anyone who wants to try this sport and take a look.

Participants should be able to swim. Please bring comfortable and quick-drying clothing (e.g., running pants, running shirt, or swimming trunks) and a towel. A life jacket will be provided.

Who are these strange beings with their crazy devices? Can they really fix everything, or are they just pretending?

Commander Corroline, Doctor May, Schwandalf, Superbrain Lee, Para, and Sit – the colorful crew of the Intergalactic Repair Service – travels through the universe to repair broken things. But not everyone is excited about their diversity: The silly Count of Zankhausen wants everything to be the same and square.
How will the crew react to this? On their journey, they discover how wonderfully different and yet similar all living beings are. And above all, they celebrate one thing: how great it is to be different!

With a lot of humor, catchy songs, and lovingly designed puppets, the Jahrmarkttheater takes the audience on a journey full of surprises and crazy ideas.

On Saturday, July 18, the Kurhaus Bad Bevensen will transform into a stage for rhythm, energy, and summer joy. At 7:30 PM, the open-air concert by Drums United will begin on the outdoor stage (weather permitting) – an all-star band featuring six master drummers from four continents, taking the audience on a world journey of groove.
With an impressive variety of percussion instruments – from congas, bongos, and talking drums to djembes, cajóns, and drum kits, as well as drum computers – a captivating sound fireworks will unfold. The musicians will repeatedly whirl across the stage while dancing, showcase scat singing interludes, and encourage the audience to join in powerful chants. At a Drums United concert, a tremendous amount of energy flows.
The internationally successful ethno-crossover formation has already performed in the USA, South America, the Near and Middle East, as well as in Europe, and has been featured at major events. The heart and soul of the group is the Dutch drummer Lucas van Merwijk, who has been acclaimed as "one of the great drummers of our time."
Following the concert, the summer night continues in a lively atmosphere. From 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM, the Silent Disco (plus 10 € deposit for the headphones) on the Kurhaus terrace invites guests to dance exuberantly under the open sky. With glowing headphones, various music channels, cocktails, and a suitable ambiance, a true vacation feeling is created – an evening like a little break from everyday life.
Ticket for the late check-in to the Silent Disco starting at 9:30 PM: 10 € admission plus 10 € deposit for the headphones.

In July, the Urlaubsregion Ebstorf e.V. offers a special family tour to the game reserve in Uelzen. Families with children who can already ride a bike and anyone interested in a guided bike tour are invited. Along the way, there will be some surprises, and a joint barbecue in Ebstorf concludes the tour.

On all Saturdays in the months of July and August from 16:45 to 17:45 with subsequent wine serving on the church square.

In order to be able to stand, sit, or walk without pain, the back muscles must be well developed. During "Rückenfit", specific exercises are applied to strengthen the abdominal and back muscles, improving flexibility, alleviating back problems, and also enhancing posture. Additionally, training is made more motivating through the use of music.

Fitness instructor Roland Kirchinger offers a comprehensive abdominal and back program at the Kurhaus to mobilize and strengthen your spine-stabilizing muscles, enabling you to feel healthy and comfortable all around.

The Spa Park is the heart of the city. Located directly on the Ilmenau, a spa park of about 18 hectares surrounds the spa center. It was not originally designed and planned as an artificial park, but has grown organically and is largely designed to be natural. The extensive green space with its old trees connects the old town in the west with the spa quarter and transitions into the floodplain landscape along the Ilmenau.

The master gardener Ms. Christiane Wittkowski guides botanically interested guests through the Bad Bevensen spa park. She not only reports on the diverse plant life in the park but also tells how it has developed over the decades.
