When did you first hear Jan Delay? At the Weserstadion, when a really good football song echoed through the oval for a change? At a festival, while you were dancing in the audience, up on stage a full-on stylist and entertainer in a soaked suit with the very best band in the world behind him? On the radio, when Nena suddenly sounded really cool with reggae and German pop music? Or already in the nineties at some hip-hop jam between Mainz and Itzehoe, when a tiny group of conviction-driven individuals laid the foundation for what German pop culture is today?
Somehow, somewhere, sometime it must have been. Almost everyone who has not lived under a rock in the last good 30 years and knows how to appreciate a well-crafted beat has their personal Jan moment. Whether Old 68ers, 187 fans, rap nerds, or Rabe-Socke fans. Old school, Gen-Z, or whatever. No one has shaped music in this country like Jan Delay. And no one has developed themselves so consistently, so persistently from album to album, from era to era, from flash to flash. Five solo albums. Four live albums. Three genre-defining bands. And countless shows, from youth centers to Rock im Park. Forever Jan? At least it's time for a small celebratory look back.
Just the facts: On 03.05.2024, Jan Delay's Best Of "FOREVER JAN (25 Years Jan Delay)" will be released. It features his biggest hits and two completely new songs. Additionally, there will be a collection of legendary side projects and rarities (a given for someone who has always dug beneath the surface and whose second song ever was an ode to the B-side) as well as the best moments of his lockdown initiative Diskoteque. All of this will, of course, be available in various configurations, from elegantly limited vinyl boxes for display to CDs for immediate playing and partying. Because when the King of the Scene invites to the rave, it's showtime. Whether in 1999 or 2024.

with all its stylistic diversity, especially the common thread of this truly extraordinary career recognizable. Jan Delay is an icon of German pop. He has inspired entire generations to listen to their rave heart and consistently do their thing. Above all, he has always remained a fan. Anyone who has ever shared a dance floor with Jan at five in the morning or discussed the latest album of whoever with him, or has experienced him on stage at least once, knows what music means to him, how it drives him, how it defines his work. The beats, the bass, the whole sound: That is the element of Jan Delay. And he has always directly translated this passion into his own projects.
Whether he found a refuge in the old soul of roots reggae as a young man when the German rap hype became too colorful and the mood in the country turned dark. Whether he gave Schland his original form of dance music (and with it started a new career). Whether he translated his personal enthusiasm for great guitar music into his own version of Rock On & On & On. Or whether he combined all his influences – rap and reggae, funk and soul, Udo and Dr. Dre, Hamburg and the world – and just vibed along: Jan Delay has caught fire and created new fire.
In the summer of 2025, JAN DELAY will once again embark on a major "Best of 25 Years" summer tour with his phenomenal band DISKO No.1.

Feuerschwanz and Hämatom rock at Butzbach Open Air
Two of the most spectacular metal acts united on one stage: Feuerschwanz and Hämatom are heating things up together at the Butzbach Open Air 2025! On Friday, July 4, 2025, the historic castle courtyard will transform into a stronghold for folk and metal.

Hämatom confirmed as another act
Since their founding in 2004, Hämatom have been a mainstay of the German-speaking metal scene. The band members North, South, East, and West deliberately rely on masks and pseudonyms to focus attention on the music and its content. Their lyrics are clearly positioned, socially critical, and direct, while musically they oscillate between hard guitar work, catchy choruses, and live energy that regularly fills venues and festival stages.
With albums like "Wir sind Gott" (2016) and "Bestie der Freiheit" (2018) – the latter reached number 2 on the German charts – and performances at Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, or Full Metal Cruise, Hämatom has built a wide fan base.
Feuerschwanz celebrates 20th anniversary
The main act of the evening, Feuerschwanz, has also been on stage since 2004. The band is known for its combination of medieval elements with modern metal sounds. With violins, bagpipes, and electric guitars, the band has evolved from a niche project to one of the most successful representatives of German folk-metal. In the context of their 20th anniversary, Feuerschwanz looks back on a series of successes: two consecutive number-one albums (2022 and 2023), numerous festival appearances at home and abroad, as well as a highly noted performance at the ESC preliminary round in 2025, where they were considered a crowd favorite.
On Friday, July 4, 2025, the Butzbach Open Air offers the opportunity to experience Feuerschwanz and Hämatom live in a unique atmosphere.

Exclusive in Hesse: Butzbach celebrates the largest Brass Music Festival in the region
For the first time, Butzbach is hosting the largest Brass Music Festival in the region – an exclusive event and at the same time the last opportunity to experience Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – Das Original live in Hesse. Following the exciting kick-off with Jan Delay & Disko No. 1 and Germany's biggest Mallorca party, the Brass Music Festival will mark the festive conclusion of the Butzbach Open Air 2025 on Sunday, July 6.

Ernst Hutter, who has led the original Egerländer Musikanten for 25 years, will bid farewell in 2025 as the leader of the world's most successful brass band. His grand farewell tour "Mein Finale" with the Egerländer will take him across Germany with more than 40 concerts – and now also live and open-air to Butzbach.
"The sold-out hall concerts of the 'Mein Finale' tour have shown how great the interest is. Due to the overwhelming demand, we are pleased to offer Butzbach Open Air as an exclusive date in summer – the definitely last concert in Hesse that gives fans the chance to be there live and experience an unforgettable farewell from Ernst Hutter," says Christian Schmidt, managing director of Depro Dienstleistungen.
The Butzbach Open Air 2025 – An unforgettable experience
The Butzbach Open Air 2025 is a true highlight and offers a varied program. A stage will be set up against the historical backdrop of Butzbach Castle, where excellent live experiences will be provided over several days. Alongside Corinna Danzer, Andreas Müller (p), Jonas Lohse (b), and Martin Kowollik (dr) are part of the Tuesday Night Band and are guests in Rosbach that evening.

Play’n Chess is a musical reading from the beginnings to the heyday of Chess Records, framed by milestones of music history that this world-famous record label published.



The musical reading is dedicated to the history, music, and stars of the Chicago record label, which is regarded as one of the most important labels for the release of blues and rock 'n' roll recordings.



Play’n Chess tells the story of the two brothers Leonard and Phil Chess. And how the two brought the blues into the recording studio, onto vinyl, into radio, and finally out into the world as "Chicago Blues."



It is about music giants like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and Etta James. And about legendary blues and rock 'n' roll recordings, whose new sound was pioneering for the music as we know it today and inspired bands like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles in their work.

Stanfour – the guys from the island of Föhr are back. With their hits "Wishing You Well," "In Your Arms," and "For All Lovers," as well as brand new pop songs, they will be back on festival and open-air stages in 2025.
Riku Rajamaa is a Finnish guitarist, singer, and songwriter, known as the lead guitarist of the band Sunrise Avenue. With Sunrise Avenue, he celebrated successes like the hit "Fairytale Gone Bad." Since 2021, he has been pursuing a solo career and has released singles like "Painless Love" and "Half Broken Heart."
Recently, Stanfour and Riku Rajamaa jointly released the single "Back Again," which underscores their musical collaboration.
The concert promises a mix of well-known hits and new joint songs that will excite fans of both artists.

German chanson meets American blues.

When songwriter Anja Sachs and blues songwriter Biber Herrmann share the stage, you experience an evening full of exciting contrasts, behind which a lot of commonalities can be found.

Here is the songwriter at the piano, who with a clear voice and eloquent lyrics creates a bridge between absurd nonsense and profound melancholy.

There is the scene-famous guitar virtuoso, who celebrates a stomping blues with sonorous singing and changing guitars, in which time seems to stand still.

Biber Herrmann toured for years with the legendary concert promoter Fritz Rau, who referred to him as "one of the best and most authentic folk & blues artists in our country and beyond" and as a "real soul brother."

On his current album "LastExit Paradise," he sings about love, breakups, new beginnings, and the urge to keep reshaping the paths in life.

The two artists share their concert presentation in two halves, each time featuring one of them in the foreground.

Two Bands - One Passion

In 1982, the Rodgau Monotones recorded their first album "Wollt ihr Musik, oder was?" and went on tour regionally. With the single release "Ei Gude wie" from their second album "Fluchtpunkt Dudenhofen," they achieved their first radio airplay. The chart successes of the album "Volle Lotte" and the single "Die Hesse komme!" helped the Rodgau Monotones break through in 1984. Since then, there has unfortunately been little Hessian music heard on the radio and TV. Afterhour Eierbagge aims to change that and show that Hesse has an amazing music culture. Bavaria has lederhosen, Austria has mountains, and NRW has Carnival – but Hesse has a lot to offer as well!

The whole thing started at a bachelor party, where the five members of DAD HARMONY filmed themselves singing in a hot tub. The clip was uploaded to TikTok and spread like wildfire.

The young fathers from Skellefteå, Northern Sweden, became famous overnight; their first video has now been viewed over 20 million times. They cover well-known songs and create unique and emotional versions with their talent and passion for music. Often with their children on their laps, who clearly enjoy their fathers' beautiful melodies, the harmonious videos go viral.

Their social media success continues, with their follower counts in the millions. Most fans come from Sweden, but also from Germany, the USA, Japan, and France.

Peter Vidmark, Tomas Vidmark, Sebastian Åkesson, Adam Stenlund, and Michael Åberg, together DAD HARMONY, are excited and overwhelmed by the response from their fans in Europe. That's why DAD HARMONY is returning with a spring tour. 13 concerts not only in Germany but for the first time also in Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic. The fathers promise to invite their fans to an evening filled with beautiful harmonies, sing-alongs, and joy.

The cult band Nazareth is coming to Wölfersheim! Look forward to a show full of rock classics and unforgettable anthems. With world-famous hits like "Love Hurts," "Hair of the Dog," "Dream On," and "This Flight Tonight," the Scottish rock icons will take you on a musical journey through time.
In 1968, the founding members formed in Pete Agnew's band "The Shadettes" and created their distinctive sound as NAZARETH in 1970. After a tour with Deep Purple and collaboration with Roger Glover, their breakthrough album Razamanaz was released in 1973 with the hits Broken Down Angel and Bad Bad Boy. With Loud’n’Proud and the single This Flight Tonight, they skyrocketed to number 1 on the German charts and became superstars in Europe and Canada.
The album Hair of the Dog and the title track influenced generations of rock musicians, including Guns N' Roses, who covered the title on their Spaghetti Incident album. The ballad Love Hurts set new standards and conquered charts worldwide, including spending 60 weeks at the top in Norway. From Dream On to their critically acclaimed album Rock’n’Roll Telephone from 2014, Nazareth has released 24 studio albums and received numerous gold and platinum awards. Even after lead singer Dan McCafferty's retirement in 2013, they have proven with renewed energy that their sound remains timeless.
